Do not select stall current consumption exceeding decoder rating
The following procedures can be used to determine the stall current of the locomotive: 1. Place the locomotive on a track that is powered by a conventional DC power pack, with N, HO, s, and O scales set to 12 volts and G scales set to 16 volts. 2. As shown in Figure 1, connect the DC ammeter in series with one of the track feeders. If your power pack has built-in instrumentation, you can use it for this purpose. 3. When holding the locomotive to prevent it from separating, turn the power pack to the fully open state. 4. Stop the motor rotation by pushing the locomotive firmly into the track or grasping the flywheel or drive shaft. 5. To ensure the most accurate current measurement, please ensure that the power pack voltage is kept at 12V (G scale is 16V) during this test. 6. Measure the locomotive current when the motor stalls. This is the stall current, which must be less than the rated capacity of the decoder
Speaker magnet
The correct use of the speaker shell cannot be overemphasized. Without the speaker shell, the poor sound quality is almost always caused. Fortunately, most steam engines have a shell. With a little effort, the shell itself becomes a great speaker shell. The speaker can be face up through the coal bunker or face down through the floor. Either way can produce the same good sound. You also need to use the largest possible speaker for the best bass response. Loudspeakers with larger diameters can be trimmed in width so that they can be installed in soft enclosures. They can also be installed at an angle by building internal baffles, although this will affect the available space of DSD modules, except for the largest bids. In small tenders, loudspeakers should be installed in front of the bunker area, where a high wall covers the speaker magnet.
